Pedro Osuna

Pedro Osuna

Pedro Osuna has earned recognition in the concert music and motion picture worlds as a sought-out composer and musical collaborator. At 21-years-old, Pedro became the youngest orchestrator for the Academy Award® nominated motion picture No Time to Die, as well as the first Berklee student to write music for an Academy Award® while pursuing studies.

In 2022, he worked under Oscar® winning composer/director Michael Giacchino on Lightyear and Thor: Love and Thunder. Later that year, Osuna scored Santiago Mitre's Golden Globe® winning and Academy Award® nominated film Argentina, 1985. Giacchino was the score producer and acted as a mentor to Osuna in his debut film, which would earn him a nomination for Best Score at the Platino Awards.

As a concert composer, Osuna has collaborated with the Royal Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Children's Chorus, Quatour Diotima, GRAMMY® Award-winning Hila Plitmann, SUUVI, Pablo Sainz Villegas, and many others. His music has been performed in venues ranging from the Walt Disney Concert Hall to the Alhambra. He also enjoys working with choreographers, and his latest work, Bloquea'o, is now on tour with LA-based dance company BODYTRAFFIC.

Pedro went to Berklee College of Music in Boston on a scholarship and graduated summa cum laude after receiving the Rick Applin Award, as well as the George Delerue Award in film scoring, considered the most prestigious awards in Film Scoring and fugue writing. After leaving Berklee, he finished his composition studies with Nadia Boulanger’s student Isaiah Jackson and Bernstein’s disciple Richard Danielpour at UCLA.
