Christina Maxwell & Rieko Tsuchida

Internationally acclaimed musicians Christina Maxwell and Rieko Tsuchida first met in New York City. The singer and pianist have just returned from performances in Tokyo and Kyoto earlier this year with Classical Music Collection Japan, bringing New York to Tokyo through a dazzling musical program.

New York City-based singer and actress Christina Maxwell is an award-winning rising star. She has performed in concert across the globe, including with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra in New York City and at the United Nations’ Annual Commission on the Status of Women, as well as alongside Italian tenor Pasquale Esposito in Italy and in solo performances in Paris, Tokyo, and Kyoto. Maxwell made her Festival Napa Valley debut during the 2022 summer season, and she is quickly becoming a Festival favorite. At the intersection of the arts and the corporate world, Maxwell serves as Director of the global real estate firm Related Companies, and she is passionate about arts programming for children.

Since making her Carnegie Hall debut in 2011, prize-winning pianist Rieko Tsuchida has performed internationally as a soloist and chamber musician. Ms. Tsuchida made her professional concerto debut in 2011 performing Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with the California Symphony. She has also performed as a soloist with the Ashdod Symphonic Orchestra, Rochester Philharmonic, and San Domenico Orchestra. Her many prizes include the SONY USA Foundation Grant in 2016 from the Salon de Virtuosi, YoungArts NFAA Finalist, and 3rd Prize in the IIYM International Piano Competition.
