Guests will enjoy the perfect intersection between Old World and New at this al fresco luncheon at Luna Vineyards. The winemaking team blends Italian tradition with the beauty of Napa terroir in every bottle they craft - from their estate-grown Pinot Grigio (Luna Vineyards was the first to plant the famed Italian grape in Napa) and Sangiovese, to their award-winning Winemaker’s Reserve bottlings of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Equally impressive are the gems created by Pomellato. The visionary Italian jewelry house, known for its avant-garde designs and sophisticated colored stone combinations, will have an array of stunning pieces on display.
July 20. The 50th Anniversary of the first moon landing. Can you dream up a better, more dazzling way to celebrate La Luna? We can’t.
Vintner's Luncheon Series presented by Pomellato
Luna's original founders brought tradition engrained by Italian ancestors, to embrace local processes that would sustain a deep and abiding respect for the Napa region. They were the first family-owned winery to plant the visionary Italian varietal of Pinot Grigio on the estate vineyard, on the eastern hillside of the Silverado Trail. Their winemaking team maintains a deep and abiding respect for the land, tilling the soil as little as possible, and restricting the use of chemicals and fertilizers. Hand picking and multiple sorting techniques are complemented by proven practices of native yeast fermentation and extended maceration, which combine to yield exceptional results.
