Renowned tenor Francesco Demuro was born in Porto Torres, Sardinia, Italy. His 2007 debut in Parma was the greatest success, and he has since performed at countless international opera houses, concert halls, and festivals.
Joyce El-Khoury opens the Canadian Opera Company’s 2019/20 season as Liù in Puccini’s Turandot, a return after her highly praised Tatyana (Eugene Onegin) last season. In the spring of 2020, she will create the leading role of Rose in Tobias Picker/Aryeh Lev Stollman’s Opera Theatre of St Louis world premiere (Awakenings), an opportunity given to Joyce after an exceptional and life-changing encounter with Tobias Pickers’ Emmeline in 2015. Other highlights will include Joyce's company debuts with the Prague Philharmonia (Beethoven's Ninth Symphony), Bilbao Opera (Rossini's Stabat Mater), and Opera de Limoges (Anna in Puccini's Le Villi).

Meachem performs regularly at major opera houses around the world, including the Metropolitan Opera, Vienna Staatsoper, Royal Opera House, Opéra National de Paris, and Los Angeles Opera where he gave his Grammy® Award-winning performance.
One of the most promising conducting talents of his generation, German-born Christian Reif is Resident Conductor of the San Francisco Symphony and Music Director of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra. His work in San Francisco follows two years in Miami as a Conducting Fellow with the New World Symphony.
Musicians from over one hundred different schools and conservatories, from four dozen states and seven countries, competed for entry to the The Festival Napa Valley Blackburn Music Academy. Just one in five aspirants was accepted. Their performances are an integral part of the festival's 13th season.
