Founders Dinner at The Hess Collection

Invitation Only

What does it mean to be a trailblazer? For Donald Hess, the Swiss entrepreneur and founder of Hess Family Wine Estates, it means combining his passion, curiosity, and pioneering spirit to amass one of the world’s greatest contemporary art collections. It also means producing outstanding, highly acclaimed wines that stand alongside the very best, and it means quietly leading the way in sustainable practices - respecting and nurturing the land by, as Hess puts it, “returning what we take.”

Such an innovative and generous spirit makes The Hess Collection the perfect site for tonight’s Founders Dinner, which celebrates the benefactors and patrons whose enthusiasm, vision and support launched Festival Napa Valley, as well as major supporters of the 2019 season.

Proprietors and fifth generation Hess family members Sabrina and Timothy Persson invite guests to their stunning winery for a kick-off celebration like no other. An elegant dinner by Executive Chef Chad Hendrickson will be paired with renowned bottlings from The Hess Collection and enjoyed among works of modern greats like Robert Motherwell, Magdalena Abakanowicz, Andy Goldsworthy, and Francis Bacon. A series of musical surprises will delight. Tonight is a rare opportunity indeed: experiencing the Hess’ lauded collection with one’s eyes, ears, and heart.
