Arts for All Gala at HALL St. Helena

Lot 10 ~ Voice of an Angel

  • 2 seats at a dinner hosted by the Harlan family at Promontory, benefitting the Arts for All college scholarship fund
  • Private concert by opera star Angel Blue

It’s the invitation every West Coast oenophile covets: entrée to Promontory, the Harlan family’s most ambitious project to date and one of the most talked-about wineries of 21st-century Napa. The Harlans host this once-in-a-lifetime evening on the estate’s spectacular grounds. As if that weren’t enough, you’ll also be treated to a private concert by opera star and Festival Napa Valley favorite Angel Blue.

Sited at 1,200-foot elevation at the confluence of two fault lines, Promontory’s soil is rich in schists and clays that lend distinctive flavors to the wine, which is cultivated in Stockinger Austrian oak casks. You’ll taste this unique red over a gourmet dinner prepared by a celebrated chef. You can anticipate a menu of exquisite dishes prepared from local ingredients.

Angel Blue is a California local too, but her stellar provenance includes leading roles in La Traviata and The Marriage of Figaro, touring with Placido Domingo, a 2017 Metropolitan Opera debut as Mimi in La Bohème, and two celebrated appearances at Festival Napa Valley, including the lead in Porgy and Bess last year.

And perhaps most significant is this: the evening benefits the new Arts for All college scholarship fund for Napa County high school students. We’ll raise a glass to that!

Donors: Promontory, the Harlan Family, Napa Valley Festival Association

Event Date: February 28, 2019. To be sold by the couple.
