Festival Napa Valley presents a very special tribute to music icon Tony Bennett, the preeminent master of the Great American Songbook. With millions of records sold worldwide and platinum and gold albums to his credit, Bennett has received nineteen Grammy® Awards (including a Lifetime Achievement Award). No one in American popular music has recorded for so long and at such a high level of excellence as Bennett.
Headlining the tribute is the Ambassador of the Great American Songbook, Michael Feinstein. He will be joined by pop sensation Wé McDonald, singer/actor Jordan Donica, jazz vocalist Jane Monheit, and Festival Napa Valley’s Composer in Residence Nia Imani Franklin. Also appearing will be the Festival's Special Music Advisor, multi-Grammy and Emmy recipient, music-director Gregg Field on drums, Frost School of Music Dean Shelly Berg on piano and featuring the iconic musicians Tom Scott on saxophone, Randy Waldman on keyboards, Dean Parks on guitar and bass player Terry Miller.
They will perform a selection of Bennett’s most beloved songs, including his signature tune, “I Left My Heart In San Francisco.”
Festival Napa Valley will make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of Tony Bennett.
