Victoriya Orlova

Born in Tula, Victoriya Orlova stated playing the violin at the age of five and the viola at 16. She has studied at the Moscow State Conservatory, the St. Petersburg State Conservatory and the Universität der Künste Berlin. She has won first prize in several competitions, including in the “Mozartiana”Open Regional Competition for young violists and cellists (2001), the International Festival "The Valley" (2006), and the All-Russian Festival "Merzlyakova Invites Friends" (2011). In 2011, she took part in an exchange program for young talented musicans, “English Schools' Orchestra,” under the patronage of Prince Michael of Kent. Since 2016 she has been a member of the Baltic Sea Philarmonic international orchestra, led by Kristjan Järvi.
