Laura Hamilton is Principal Associate Concertmaster of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. She is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, where she was the Nathan Milstein Scholarship recipient.
During her 29-year tenure with the MET, she has led hundreds of performances, including many of the popular “Live in HD” videocasts such as Carmen, Parsifal, Turandot, and Faust. Previously a member of the Chicago Symphony, she soloed with that orchestra with Sir Georg Solti on the podium. She is on faculty at New York University.
