Over $8 Million Raised to Date at Wine Country’s Biggest Arts Charity Event

May 1, 2018 – Napa, Calif. – Festival Napa Valley, the performing arts organization that has transformed California’s wine country into a cultural destination, announced that Tony and Emmy Award-winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth will headline its Arts for All Gala on Sunday, July 22 at HALL St. Helena. The annual charity event, which features an unequaled collection of a dozen once-in-a-lifetime auction lots, has raised over $8 million in support of Festival Napa Valley’s mission of making the arts accessible to all.

“The Arts for All Gala has become both a centerpiece of our summer season and an expression of the importance arts and culture play in enriching people’s lives,” stated Richard Walker, Festival Napa Valley’s President & CEO. “We are honored to have the sensational Kristin Chenoweth join us. Her powerful voice and infectious personality are sure to make the evening an unforgettable celebration.”

Ms. Chenoweth will be accompanied by musicians from the Festival Napa Valley Blackburn Music Academy, Festival Napa Valley’s tuition-free summer conservatory for pre-professional musicians. Ten vocal arts students selected from Napa County public high schools will also have the opportunity to join Ms. Chenoweth on stage to perform at the end of the program. "I'm excited to return to Festival Napa Valley this summer to be a part of the Arts for All Gala, supporting the festival and its music education programs. I'm especially looking forward to performing with Napa Valley’s very talented high school choir students!" said Ms. Chenoweth.

Putting its mission into action, Festival Napa Valley’s 2018 summer season offers affordably-priced tickets to concerts that span all genres from classical music to jazz to theater and dance. With underwriting from the Arts for All Gala, 6000 tickets will be distributed free to seniors, families and veterans. Proceeds from the event also support Festival Napa Valley’s Blackburn Music Academy, attracting 80 college and postgraduate students from around the world, two Arts for All summer camps for Boys & Girls Club students, and the festival’s continued investment in Napa County public school arts education, which to date has exceeded $1 million.
